George Floyd Death: Let’s Focus on What We Agree On

When I arrived in the UK, a friend of mine told me if I wanted to have a peaceful existence in the UK, I should never, never say anything negative about The Queen, Winston Churchill or Frank Bruno.

My advice to my fellow black brothers and sisters fighting for racial equality is never, never say anything negative about Her Majesty, Winston Churchill or Frank Bruno.

These people are their heroes. We need the support of our native English brothers and sisters. We will not get their support if we antagonise them.

Let’s stop fighting over the things we disagree over and focus on the things we agree on. We should find a way of disagreeing with them without disrespecting them.
